Young people can apply to the free HELLO PLANET Startup Design Camp

The Blue Planet Foundation and Hello Wood Junior will announce their joint camp again this year, which will take place between July 25 and 31 in Patca, Somogy county. The Hello Planet Startup Design Camp is open to young people and teams between the ages of 15 and 18 who wish to develop one of their good ideas, and who take an interest in the world of startups and want to participate in idea development workshops.

The Blue Planet Foundation offers programs and opportunities for young people in the spirit of fighting climate change and of environmental sustainability, supporting and organizing scholarships, camps, and workshops. Hence they partnered with Hello Wood Junior, a children’s design-themed skill development program at Hello Wood Architecture Studio, where designers and creators work with children interested in the different forms of design and manual creation.

During the event taking place at the end of July, young people can learn about inspiring green initiatives and businesses, gain real startup-related knowledge through interactive sessions, and develop their ideas in design workshops. Teams are assisted by mentors and designers coming from different backgrounds to develop their creative ideas.

Those interested can apply by filling out the application form and submitting their startup idea, and then develop the best plans into startups during the free camp. The application deadline is midnight on June 30, following which a jury will select the eighty most imaginative applicants to get invited to the camp. Outstanding works will also have the opportunity to present themselves at the Planet Budapest expo and world summit to be held in the fall.
