3D-printed tram stop in Prague

An interdisciplinary team at So Concrete in Prague has created the first tram stop in the Czech Republic using robotic 3D printing technology.

The new Výstaviště tram stop in Prague is the first of its kind in the Czech Republic. The ABB robot took 36 hours to print out the stop, which was designed with the help of artificial intelligence. The other technology used in the tram stops is a TechnoCast panel that displays timetables and traffic information on electronic paper—a low-energy and low-maintenance solution, that is also weatherproof. So Concrete is experienced in architecture and programming, and they regularly work with the Czech Technical University.
