Carbon neutral football cathedral to be built in Milan

After years of discussions and negotiations, AC Milan and Internazionale Milan have chosen their new home. The iconic San Siro that was built in 1926, will be replaced by a carbon-neutral stadium by the Populous architects on 110,000 square meters of green space.

The stadium is a celebration of the city’s artistic and cultural heritage. The shape is inspired by two of Milan’s most recognizable architectural works: the Duomo di Milano and the Galleria Vittoria Emanuele.
