The photo series “Red Room” of Polish photographer Karol Palka takes us back to the time of the Communist regime: it documents selected remnants of the era in Europe showing signs of decay. Through the photographs, we can visit locations including the now closed government-run resort Hotel Polana, which belonged to the former Communist Party of Czechoslovakia.
With his series, the photographer attempts to make us understand reality which is impossible to grasp without the careful study of the past.
