An HQ building under the spell of copper | Foster + Partners

It’s the first time that Foster + Partners has designed a building in Russia: the office building of RCC, the Russian Copper Company, is an ode to copper.

The tower in Yekaterinburg is a classic office building, but it’s also much more than that: it offers more in terms of flexibility, comfort and quality than a similar structure usually does. The fifteen-story building consists of modular office units and its cladding ensures an energy-efficient operation. The design of the building, created for the Russian Copper Society, was inspired by the crystal lattice structure of copper while the crown of the building shows off RCC’s newly redesigned logo. This was inspired by the innovative building itself.
