Bio-ceramic to replace plastic in these new watches | Swatch

The world-famous Swiss watch brand committed to a plastic-free future launches a new collection based on bioceramic.

Two-thirds ceramic and one-third biologically sourced castor oil, the brand’s new innovation creates a durable material for their watch cases. Swatch has used its hallmark see-through case design for the new collection, and in the spirit of environmental awareness, the strap and the rest of the parts were also made from bio-sourced plastic. In addition to the classic black and white variations, the watches are also available in “colors of the year”: in gray, sky blue, and pastel pink versions.
