The Czech-based Najbrt graphic design studio is behind the sign that runs along the corner of the Kunsthalle building in Prague. The installation on the wall of the former Zenger transformer station marks with a unique character the site of the new museum which is planned to open its gates to the public at the beginning of next year.
The metal elements are placed vertically on the art museum building in the center of the historic district. The logo is both a discreet and eye-catching statement of the new institution’s name and identity and it blends seamlessly into the fabric of the building.
The logo, formed from chubby bronze letters, is Studio Najbrt’s biggest undertaking to date, not only in size but also in the circumstances in which it was created. The design team subjected the original design to several rounds of testing before it reached its final, perfect form.
