Modernization of one of Warsaw’s most popular park soon to be finished

The modernization process of one of the largest and most popular parks in the Polish capital is gathering pace, with the paving of the reservoirs in the Pole Mokotowskie park is now nearing completion.

A total of 13,000 square meters of concrete was removed from the main reservoir at the end of last year. There’s an ongoing process to create a new natural water system in the ponds area, with luscious green zones. The removal of the concrete will allow the park’s natural environment to be maintained and the biodiversity to be enhanced.

The project has a symbolic meaning, as well: it emphasizes the effort to naturalize the water surfaces of the park complex in Warsaw, contributing to the global debate on sustainable water management in urban areas.
