The autonomous vehicle, MiCa, developed by Estonian company Auve Tech, is equipped with seven laser-based remote sensors and ten cameras, and can be used in a wide range of weather conditions.
Auve Tech has already signed an agreement with SoftBank subsidiary Boldly to develop a model of the vehicle for Japanese specifications, to have it on the road by the end of 2023.
Remote sensors and cameras will allow it to see further away than the previous model and in 360 degrees.
The possibility of error has been minimized and cybersecurity features have also been added. In addition, Estonia’s climate allows the vehicles to be tested in a variety of weather conditions, including rain and snow.
