The brand distributing the mineral water bottled near Lake Geneva switches to label-free bottles in the spirit of eco-consciousness, but the embossed Evian bottle is also outstanding from the perspective of design.
Evian unveiled its first plastic bottle featuring an embossed logo instead of a label in the past days. The recyclable 400ml bottle is made of 100% recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET), while the usual pink cap is made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which can be recycled, too.
By saying goodbye to the label and incorporating the embossed logo, Evian kills two birds with one stone: it protects the environment and last but not least it further strengthens the brand, as this bottle will make the mineral water even more visible and outstanding and will increase consumer trust.
The company wishes to switch to a circular economy model by 2025, but the brand’s other bottles currently in use are also made from approximately 40 per cent recycled plastic. Evian’s new recycled water bottle is currently available in selected hotels and eateries in France and will be available in additional countries including UAE, Mexico, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore from September 2020.
