Poland’s National Institute for Monument Conservation (NIKZ) has launched a new app to encourage and help people discover the country’s monuments and rich cultural heritage.
The new service, MonumentApp, works with Google Maps and offers, among other things, ready-made sightseeing itineraries based on different interests and themes. It is also interactive, allowing users to add their own descriptions and photos of the monuments, as well as create personalized maps and travel plans.
The app also includes a special city tour dedicated to the 1944 Warsaw Uprising.
