A huge data visualization, using bubbles of different sizes, shows how much carbon dioxide different plants can sequester and store during their life cycle.
The installation called “Natural Capital” by Carlo Ratti and the energy company Eni will be on display at the Milan Design Week in September 2021. The project, located in the Milan Botanical Gardens, highlights the role of plants in the global oxygen production. At the entrance to the garden, for reference, a huge sphere will visualize the average amount of CO2 produced by the human body each year.
