The legendary Nik West and Rick Astley will open one of the most atmospheric Hungarian mini-festivals, but dozens of other artists will also be performing on the shores of Lake Balaton between 3 and 5 August.
There’s no place like Lake Balaton in the summer in Hungary—even more so if the beautiful scenery and pleasant weather are accompanied by some jazz. This year, for the 11th time, the Paloznak Jazzpiknik brings together the best of the Hungarian and international jazz scene for a fun gig. The festival also features a big stage, but in contrast to more traditional festivals, it offers more familiar picnic vibes—which is why it has quickly become a public favorite. With four stages and more than 40 concerts in the picturesque lakeside village, the 11th Paloznak Jazzpiknik will bring together everything from a picnic on the grass to club atmosphere and big concerts, from good wine to amazing music.
Nik West will open the event on 3 August, followed by Rick Astley, the performer of the all-time hit Never Gonna Give You Up. Further performers in the coming days include: Thievery Corporation, Incognito, Level 42, Barabás Lőrinc Quartet, Sena Dagadu, Random Trip x 7s presents Vibe Changers x Vavra Bence, Vanavan, ODD ID, aZorka, Richard Zalai, Parvaro, Superar.
