Holiday home inspired by the Aegean Islands

Designed by Block722, this holiday home in Syros was inspired by the island’s surroundings.

The project drew inspiration from the island’s environment: the architects based the house’s distinctive character on the typology of small Aegean villages—minimalist architectural constellations often perched on hillsides facing the sea.

Block722 is known for its masterful, distinctive application of minimalism, using natural materials and gentle color tones to create a serene atmosphere. The team has used the feel of a typical Greek island dwelling, using stone, wood, and white mortar to create a small cluster of buildings connected by external pathways and terraces.

Nature permeates every corner thanks to the sea views, garden pergolas offering shade, and green roofs planted with local species found throughout the complex.
