It is incredibly cheap to stay in Gaudí’s iconic Barcelona villa

Airbnb has listed the Catalan architect’s first masterpiece, giving a lucky couple a chance to spend a night in the Art Nouveau building at Casa Vicens.

Casa Vicens was built between 1883 and 1888 in the heart of Barcelona for a local family. The Art Nouveau masterpiece functions as a museum but will soon be closed for a single day so that a lucky couple can spend 24 hours in the villa. Booking opens at 4 PM Central European Time on July 12 on the website of Airbnb: thanks to the first-come-first-serve system, the one with the fastest hand may get the one-day dream vacation for exactly 1 Euro. The lucky couple will receive a private guided tour and a Michelin-starred dinner in the breathtaking halls of Casa Vicens and will spend the night in Gaudí’s building.
