Kraków airport opens “library”

A bookshelf has been set up at Kraków Airport, offering Polish and foreign-language books for children and adults to make their wait time more rewarding.

“Reading books is an excellent relaxing activity, especially before a flight. We can feel the joy of contact with fiction, return to our dreams of wonderful journeys and enjoy the freedom of exploring the world,” said Radosław Włoszek, the head of Kraków Airport, at the opening.

Readers will have free access to books donated by Kraków’s municipal library and nine consulates in Kraków but will have to return them to the shelf before departure. This is the second initiative of its kind in Poland, after the library at Warsaw Chopin Airport.
