Multifunctional object helps the elderly in their homes

DesignLibero has developed a multi-functional product that can be integrated into the home environment to meet the needs of the elderly.

The growing number of elderly people worldwide highlights the importance of inclusive design. The aging population creates a societal challenge that requires innovative solutions, especially in the field of design. The Blossom product helps elderly people live with a system of objects that can be combined according to the user’s needs.

“The idea was born from observing the people around us and their needs. By analyzing various types of users and their requirements, we envisioned creating a family or a system of objects that are functional, ergonomic, visually appealing, and enjoyable to use.  The aim of these projects was to create objects able to both support the fragility of old people and to blend naturally into nice home furniture,” said the designers.
