Nearly 80 fashion and design brands were unveiled during the Fashion & Design Autumn

Fashion shows, home furnishing exhibitions, roundtable discussions, digital conferences and many more varied programs made last fall even more exciting. The Fashion & Design Autumn thematic event series, first implemented in 2021, featured nearly eighty unique fashion and design brands at two international and then three domestic events. The creators were able to prove their talent first in Paris and Milan, and then in Hungary in front of tens of thousands of distributors, professionals and interested parties.

In September, Hungarian brands appeared at the Maison&Objet interior design trade fair, followed by the Milan Fashion Week. Various programs continued in Hungary in October: the 360 Design Budapest exhibition opened its doors for the second time, and after that those interested could get acquainted with the spring-summer 2022 fashion at the Budapest Central European Fashion Week. Finally, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA) ended the program series with the Budapest Fashion & Tech Summit fashion industry conference.

Maison & Objet

At the Maison & Objet design fair, those interested could see the design works of ten Hungarian artists, which in 2021 attracted even more interest from foreign customers, distributors and resellers. At the Milan Fashion Week, the participants of the joint International Mentoring Program of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) and the HFDA had the opportunity to introduce themselves: the international audience was able to see the collections of four Hungarian brands within the Budapest Select Collective Fashion Show. In addition to the presentation, pieces by Hungarian designers also appeared in the exhibition space of Fashion HUB.

Milan Fashion Week

The success of 360 Design Budapest did not fail either: the event opened its doors with full-house curatorial and exclusive guided tours, nearly one hundred and eighty unique design objects and exciting installations. Educational roundtables, which can be viewed on the HFDA’s YouTube and Spotify channels, have also been a great success. The event of Budapest Central European Fashion Week(BCEFW) has enriched the city of Budapest for a whole week with exciting side events, full-house catwalk shows, a pop-up shop and on-site exhibitors. As an accompanying program, starting in August, every Wednesday night, those interested could get to know the brands introducing themselves at the Fashion Week through exclusive interviews on the Instagram page of BCEFW. At the two-day digital event of the Budapest Fashion & Tech Summit, Hungarian, regional and international professionals shared their views, in which nearly one thousand five hundred people were interested. The conversations can be viewed on the event’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel.
