KUNSZT! and Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture (VEB2023) announce a joint, open competition for Hungarian designers and craftspeople. The competition provides an opportunity for contemporary Hungarian designers to showcase their work among the products of KUNSZT!
At the beginning of August, Veszprém’s new design shop, gallery, brunch-bistro-café, and community space, KUNSZT! will open its doors to the public. The new venue will be situated in the center of Veszprém, in Old Town Square, in the great corner shop of the prestigious Rosenberg House. The founders promise a true creative center where contemporary design meets community experience, Lake Balaton specialties, and delicious food, all in the 2023 Capital of Culture. KUNSZT! is not just one store among many: it offers prime goods, a central location, a sophisticated, and spectacular environment that draws attention to exhibited work, an appreciative audience, an opportunity for solo appearances, pop-ups, workshops, due attention, and very favorable sales conditions.
KUNSZT! and VEB2023 are looking for Hungarian designers and craftspeople who create unique, limited, small series products, whose work exhibit a notable relation to Veszprém and Lake Balaton, and have at least two years of professional experience. Priority is given to designers showcasing exclusive products not yet presented elsewhere, to artists willing to organize workshops related to their craft and creators with objects made in the spirit of recycling and sustainability.
Apply with a CV and a photo portfolio of your art sent via email to palyazat@kunsztveszprem.hu until midnight, Wednesday, June 30. Visit the website of KUNSZT! for more details!
