Postcard-like Slovenian landscape | Bled

Next to the town of Bled, northwest of Ljubljana, Slovenia’s oldest castle, built more than a thousand years ago, rises on the shores of a lake on hundreds of meters of cliffs.

Bled Castle, with a long history, is now a popular tourist pilgrimage site, as the postcard-like landscape and the excursion can be accompanied by various programs during our visit, if we feel like it.

In the castle museum, you can get acquainted with the culture and history of Bled, but there is also a botanic garden and a herbal gallery. If you are looking for a gastronomic experience, you will also be successful, as you will have the opportunity to taste Slovenian wines and taste the city’s famous dessert, Bled cream cake.

The jewel of Lake Bled is the small island in the middle, which is also the only island in Slovenia with the Church of the Mother of God on the Lake.
