Renowned Danish architecture firm to design new stadium complex in Albania

CEBRA has won the international tender to build a stadium in Korça, Albania, and we can finally get a glimpse of the design.

This new 10,000-seat stadium, Skenderbeu, will be built in Korça and will be used not only as a sports venue but also as an attractive entertainment center. The plans, therefore, show not only a football pitch surrounded by seating and a huge parking lot but also a number of smaller buildings that will bear some of the typical hallmarks of Korça architecture. The family atmosphere will be enhanced by the extension of the green area of the nearby Rinia Park so that the complex will not look like a concrete jungle. Of course, the main focus will still be on sports, with an athletic track, an Olympic-size swimming pool, and other smaller indoor and outdoor fields in addition to the football pitch, in a total area of 158,000 square meters.
