Serbian Nikola Jokic reaches the top of the NBA

Nikola Jokic has become the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player, winning the championship with his team, the Denver Nuggets.

Jokic, born in 1995 in Sombor, Serbia, first played for Mega Basket in Belgrade and since 2015 has been in the NBA with the Denver Nuggets. He is a two-time Kia Most Valuable Player Award–winner (2021 and 2022), but this year, he managed to top it off by winning the championship.

The Serbian basketball player proved that he is the best player in the world at the moment—in the third game of the final, he scored 32 points; 21 rebounds and 10 assists. He has also set a number of records, including becoming the first player in NBA history to lead the entire postseason in total points (600), total rebounds (269), and total assists (186) in the playoffs.
