Az olasz LCA Architetti által tervezett, otthonos és meghitt faház kialakítása teljes összhangban áll a tájjal. Az épület egyik különlegessége, hogy főleg megújuló forrásokból származó, természetes anyagok felhasználásával készült.
A Chalet Blanc menedékház egy fiatal pár ötletéből született, akik a fenntarthatóság jegyében faházat szerettek volna építeni a Matterhorn hegycsúcs lábánál.
