Starting this April, the latest addition to the Zwack Unicum lineup will be available on the shelves of major retail chains. To mark the occasion, the company has created a visually stunning advertisement set to debut in Hungary.

Unicum Orange Bitter is a truly unique Mediterranean liqueur, crafted from the iconic, oak-aged classic Unicum—made with over 40 carefully selected herbs—and enhanced with a special distillate and extract from orange peels. At the heart of this distillation is the Sanguinello blood orange from Sicily, often referred to as the "Blood of Etna."
Inspired by the golden landscapes of Tuscany and the Zwack family's deep-rooted connections to Italy—particularly the village of Bolgheri—this exceptional drink is best enjoyed poured over two ice cubes with a fresh slice of orange, in true aperitivo style.
The True Italian Experience in the Unicum Orange Bitter Commercial
To capture the spirit of Unicum Orange Bitter, Zwack Unicum has produced a special commercial—its first-ever filmed abroad, in the breathtaking landscapes of Italy. Set in an authentically Mediterranean environment, the ad brings to life the very essence that inspired the creation of this liqueur.
Produced by the renowned Italian agency Libera, the video embodies the full Italian experience: local actors, iconic melodies, and the picturesque scenery of Tuscany. The town of Bolgheri—hometown of Izabella and Sándor Zwack—also plays a central role in the film.
The two-day shoot saw active participation from the Zwack family, ensuring that every detail was meticulously crafted. Alongside Italy’s stunning landscapes, the commercial was also filmed at their family café, Caffé Della Posta, showcasing the original ritual of serving Unicum Orange Bitter. Visitors to the café can still experience this authentic moment today—and, if lucky, may even meet Izabella or Sándor Zwack in person.
Unicum Orange Bitter Arrives This Easter
Unicum Orange Bitter, Zwack Unicum’s latest herbal-orange liqueur, made its debut in fall 2024, bringing a Mediterranean flair and refreshing chill to the Hungarian spirits market. While the drink is already available at the Unicum House brand store and in the company’s webshop, it will be widely accessible in retail stores and supermarkets starting this Easter.
