TERIKE from Budapest fills a large gap in the Hungarian fashion scene – it’s the first project in the country to put talented fashion designers who receive less opportunity and attention as students and fresh graduates into the focus.
Dozens of young Hungarians graduate from various art courses every year, yet only a few of them can actually become successful as emerging designers, as they don’t get too much help for starting their careers. There are only a very few state subsidies and even less independent support options available, and except for social media platforms, they have limited possibilities to showcase their projects. This is what TERIKE from Budapest aims to change by offering a platform that could serve as a stepping stone for talented designers.
