The magic of the aerial view | Polish winners at the Drone Photo Awards 2023

The Drone Photo Awards 2023 competition attracted thousands of entries from around the world, with prizes awarded in nine categories.

Sebastian Piórek from Warsaw won first place in the urban category with his photo Playground, taken in Poland. Paweł Jagiełło won second place in the same category for his photo Sunken church tower, shot in Italy.

Marek Biegalski’s eye-catching aerial photograph of the Arctic Forrest was runner-up in the abstract category.

In the wedding category, the romantic Swim in the stars by Krzysztof Krawczyk from Bełchatów took first place.

There were also regional artists outside Poland: the second place in the wedding category went to Marcis Baltskars from Latvia with his Wedding Ring. Patrícia Kulcsár from Hungary won the abstract category with her Apulian Painting, while Daniel Franz from Czechia was commended in the nature category with his Treecarnation 1.
