There is a small house with unconventional sizes at first glance, but offering even more comfort on the island of Rhodes, Greece. The so-called Monocabin designed by design studio Mandalaki is the perfect intimate summer shelter if you want to get away from the world for a while.
The carefully designed Monocabin was made along the principle of “less is more.” It is built of modular concrete panels, adjusting to the traditional architectural style of the island, but at the same time giving a contemporary feel to the house.
The minihouse can provide comfortable accommodation for two people with a bathroom, a bedroom, a storage area and a smaller fitness zone, outdoor shower and a terrace – the latter also functions as a dining room. To further enhance comfort, the house also offers additional extra services, such as a projector perfect for movie night or a Bluetooth sound system.
Not only the cabin, but its location is remarkable, too: the Aegean Sea is only 200 meters from the house, and guests can also visit the Byzantian buildings in the city of Jalisos.
The good news is that if you’d like to try it, you can book the Monocabin right away by clicking on this link. Another fun fact is that Monocabin was essentially made as the first prototype of a modular tiny house collection, and therefore it is available in an additional two sizes, with a total floorspace of 34 and 64 square meters respectively.
