Designed by Richard Danne, a former NASA design director, the 1974 logo has left an exceptional graphic and typographic mark on history. The logo was decommissioned in 1992, but now it returns on the watch created in collaboration by NASA and the watch brand Anicorn.
A total of three hundred pieces will be made from the watch, which guarantees that they will become coveted collector’s pieces among NASA fans. The watch itself is made up of several geometric metal plates that simulate the orbiting of planets, while the back bears Richard Danne’s autograph and the product’s serial number. Danne has also created a ninety-page-long book of design guidelines for NASA, with which the packaging of the new watch fully complies.
