The Volocopter air taxi has made its first public flight

During the four-minute test flight, the aircraft was flown for the first time with a crew on board as part of an American air show.

Florian Reuter, CEO of Volocopter, says that no matter how much we talk about low emissions and the other benefits of air taxis, there is no argument as convincing as a public flight, where the Volocopter has just been demonstrated.

The vehicle made a successful flight at the Wisconsin Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture 2021 event, climbing to an altitude of 50 meters and reaching a top speed of 29 kilometers per hour. The test flight was made to raise awareness of air taxis.
