A special reproduction celebrates the 70 years of C-Type | Jaguar

Jaguar Land Rover Classic is preparing for the 70th birthday of its C-Type model with eight new hand-built beauties.

Replicas of the sports car, originally designed in the 1950s, are hand-manufactured at the Jaguar Land Rover Classic workshop in Coventry, England with a 220-horsepower, 3.4-liter engine, triple Weber 40DCO3 carburetors and disc brakes. The special, teardrop-shaped design of the car that won the Le Mans award in 1951 was created by Malcolm Sayer. An additional peculiarity of the car is that it boasts disc brakes, which were considered a technological innovation in the era, allowing the car to win the 1951 and 1953 ’24 Hours of Le Mans’ races. Forty-three of the unique replicas were sold so far.
