The Porsche 917 model inspired emerging designer Simon Grytten’s watch concept, who reimagined the timekeeping device based on the car that gained victories for two consecutive years at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race.
The watch reflects the design of the iconic car model, and is available in a variety of colors and straps with the inscription “Targa” on the side, suggesting that the designer had the Porsche 911 Targa 4S before his eyes when sketching up the plans of the streamlined watch. Instead of traditional hands or a digital display, the watch has dials to help its wearer know what time it is, protruding from the structure and evoking the aesthetics of the carmaking industry.
