Belgrade-based studio designs a cooling tea shop for Dubai

KIDZ design, active in several countries, brings a refreshing touch to the hot desert: the cold drinks of the PIMS tea room are served in a cool interior.

PIMS, famous for its teas, has opened a new unit in Dubai—with a striking design to match. The tea room will refresh visitors not only with its colorful soft drinks served with different toppings but also with its interior. The undulating metal structure supporting the lamps and the turquoise counter are reminiscent of the sea breeze. The latter also serves as the visual focal point of the room, and for good reason, as this is where the “magic” happens and the drinks are prepared. The metal tables and chairs of the service area give the impression of a floating island, while the retractable doors open the space to the terrace and the street, giving the tea room an inviting atmosphere.
