Academy Award for Zsuzsanna Sipos, the Hungarian set decorator of Dune

Regional success at the Oscars: Dune took home the award for Best Production Design, which went to the film’s Hungarian set decorator Zsuzsanna Sipos and Canadian production designer Patrice Vermette.

Dune excelled in the technical categories at the awards ceremony, taking home prizes for Best Cinematography, Sound, Sound Editing, Visual Effects and Production Design. When accepting the latter award at the gala, Zsuzsanna Sipos thanked the American Film Academy in Hungarian too.
