Czechia to host the Ice Hockey World Championship again in 2024

After nine years, the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship returns to Czechia, to be held in Prague and Ostrava between 10 and 26 May 2024.

Next year, Czechia will host the world’s premier ice hockey event for the 11th time. “Although there is still more than a year to go until the start of the competitions, the Organizing Committee is already working hard on the preparations. Our goal is to come as close as possible to the very successful 2015 IIHF WM and to offer spectators an intense sporting experience,” said Alois Hadamczik, President of the Czech Ice Hockey Federation.

The world’s best ice hockey players will compete in the Prague Arena, which can hold nearly 17,500 spectators and the 8,800-seat Ostrava Arena.
