As part of the Design Without Borders exhibition and the Transparent Sound New Music Festival, the TEXHIBITION exhibition, which will feature works by Finnish and Hungarian textile artists, will be held for the sixth time this year in January.
The exhibition will open at the FUGA—Budapest Center of Architecture on January 8, where this year, in addition to the creations of 21 Hungarian designers, Erja Hirvi, one of Marimekko’s star designers from Finland, will be a foreign guest exhibitor.
One of the main aims of the exhibition is to draw our attention to the textile industry, which previously played a leading role in the designer scene, and to the active designers working in the field, highlighting the creative potential of the genre. In addition to the designers who have defined the professional scene for years, TEXHIBITION also invites young designers every year to help create a dialogue between the generations.
