How do design, fashion, and urban living come together and come to life as one? The editorial of S/ALON Budapest triggers visual stimuli that help the viewer to see the unique relationship between interior design and boundary-pushing characters in a completely new and striking concept.
“In my photographs, the characters and, most of all, their personalities always play a very important role. Throughout the project, shapes and human bodies came together to emphasize a unique sense of life, which we wanted to achieve through unusual angles, the monumentality of spaces, and the presentation of characters. With the delicate brushstrokes of make-up artist Eszter Domonkos, we sought to portray a more masculine type of woman. We created a visual impression of a short film with lights, colors, and geometric shapes so that the interplay of bodies and furniture could transform the image into a cinematic movement. The concept was conceived by master hairdresser Bea Szabó. One of the figures is the romantic, musing man who is bohemian yet raw, while the female figure is given an extravagant, slightly dominant role. The balance of the two sexes was dreamed up by our stylist, Bálint Sárosi,” said photographer Csaba Vágó, introducing the concept.
