In addition to its obvious healthcare implications, another formidable consequence of the epidemic is the horrendous increase of food packaging. The problem is only partially caused by the rise in the number of store food packaging: the consumers’ preference of home deliveries and take-out services also have their share in it.

Many environmentalists and designers are interested in how waste could be reduced in the case of take-out services, too. PriestmanGoode’s latest project, a food container recalling the world of Japanese lunch boxes proposes a solution to this problem. The box built up of stackable elements is re-usable and is made of bio-degradable materials such as cocoa shells, mushrooms or pineapple peel.
