In the current situation, it is of utmost importance not to lose sight of Ukrainian designers, artists and brands and to support them in every possible way! Therefore, in our selection today, we would like to introduce increasingly popular Ukrainian fashion brands that you can see regularly on international runways, in the pages of famous magazines, and at bi-annual fashion weeks. Not a day goes by without thinking about them and we hope that they will soon be able to work in peace and design wonderful creations in their countries again!
PASKAL
Known for its feminine aesthetics and laser-cutting techniques, PASKAL was founded in 2010 by Julie Paskal, who has since become a sportswear manufacturer under the name Aerobika Athleisure. The year 2016 marked a turning point in the life of PASKAL, as it was the year when they first exhibited their new collection in the window of the prestigious French store called Colett Paris, and from then on they became regular participants in the Paris Fashion Week.
Chereshnivska
Comfort and sustainability are of paramount importance for Chereshnivska, based in Lviv. The stylish, handmade basic pieces, which can be worn by both women and men, show unique hand-drawn patterns and prints of Belarusian artist Anastasiya Rozova, who has been the creative director of the brand since 2017.
The COAT by Katya Silchenko
Coats are a key part of the high-end clothing brand’s range, hence the name choice could not have been more appropriate. According to Katya Silchenko, layering doesn’t have to be boring and plain either, which is why she tries to create the perfect, pastel-colored capsule wardrobe with exciting, different textures and durable materials.
Kachorovska
Kachorovska, which has been operating for more than half a century and is mostly specialized in the production of shoes and bags, was launched as a family studio in 1957. Since then, from the third generation, Alina Kachorovska has carried on the brand, and in 2015 she produced her own shoe collection, characterized by high quality and minimalist, simple lines.
GUDU
With its extravagant, shiny, translucent jackets, trousers and tops, the brand’s offer is undoubtedly abundant in special items. According to the creative director of GUDU—the Georgian-born Lasha Mdinaradze—their clothes are so specific and striking that they enhance your appearance even without accessories, so you don’t have to bother with choosing the right jewelry, you just have to wear the garments.
