Hyundai’s designers celebrate the company’s legacy and forward-looking spirit with an electric transformation of the 1975 Pony model. The special Hyundai model will be on display in Busan, Korea, at the company’s new customer center, until June 27.
The meticulous disassembly and electric transformation of the original 1975 Pony were led by Hyundai’s chief interior designer Hak Soo Ha. The seventies-style shape of the Pony was combined with modern headlights and pixelated taillights. The unique three-spoke steering wheel and interior are highlighted with a panel of retro nixie-tubes, which evoke the atmosphere of the decade faithfully.
