Hello Wood Resorts has built its new accommodation in Dobogókő, one of the most beautiful parts of Hungary, offering its guests the experience of tranquility in luxurious surroundings. Of course, it is also a sight to behold: based on plans developed jointly with Pyxis Nautica, the proportions and materials used in the house fit perfectly into the landscape.
Hello Wood Resorts connects Hungary's most beautiful places with contemporary, forward-looking designs: after the Rock Cabins of Kapolcsi Sziklák in the Balaton Uplands, it has now chosen another location known for its natural riches for its latest project. The idea for the Monolith Lodge in Dobogókő was conceived on the basis of a unique concept: "The building was commissioned by a Hungarian couple living abroad who wanted to create a home for themselves for the few weeks they spend in Hungary each year, and they were happy to let us market it as accommodation on a collaborative basis for the rest of the time," says András Huszár, co-founder of Hello Wood and Hello Wood Resorts. "We want to continue following this model in the future: we give the houses and resorts we build for investment purposes and that fit into our portfolio a unique image in line with their style, build a separate brand for each one, and operate them as accommodation in our own network."
This time, the Hello Wood team designed the house in collaboration with the architects of Pyxis Nautica, and, as with previous projects, it was created based on the principles of sustainability and closeness to nature. The latter is not only evident in the use of materials, but also in the fact that, thanks to the huge windows and covered terrace, guests can feel as if they are part of the forest from a protected, comfortable position. The interior design and decoration echo this, with the colours of the surrounding trees and the movement of the leaves compensated for by a limited colour palette, clean lines, and a focus on functionality. With a touch of synesthaesia, they make the silence surrounding the villa almost visible – which is perhaps what those seeking retreat in the middle of the forest need most.

Built using CLT technology and essentially solid wood, the villa's clean style appeals to a much wider target group than the rustic log cabins and beam houses built using earlier technologies. The villa, which is over 130 m2 in size, was built using premium materials and a unique design, with the harmony of the interior spaces created by a combination of designer furniture and objects. In addition to the Scandinavian-style living room and dining room with high ceilings and huge glass surfaces, the house also has a well-equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an electric Finnish sauna. One part of the covered terrace, which can also be used as a dining area, features an electric hot tub for those who want to take a dip, while breakfast, made entirely from local products, is provided by the nearby Breier Farm.

Monolith Lodge will welcome guests from November 14, and reservations can be made on the Hello Wood Resorts website.
