Stormtroopers in the Budapest metro

Futuristic, alien forces swarmed the newly renovated M3 metro line, and even the most trained ticket controllers did not dare to ask for their tickets or passes.

Stormtroopers and their leaders traveled from a galaxy far, far away to take over the M3 metro line in Budapest—or just to use the BKK (Centre for Budapest Transport—the Transl.) services and take advantage of underground transport to get across the city quickly. According to some sources, Darth Vader and his soldiers sought the media containing the plans—details are still unclear.

Balázs Mohai’s photos were taken at the request of the metro architects to draw attention to small, valuable, and interesting details of the renovated stations, which are often hidden in the everyday rush. And of course, to give a little surprise and cheer passengers on their way to work.
