Szimbio Lab exhibition and workshops | Organic Design

On 6 October, Szimbio Lab will open an exhibition on biodesign at the K11 LABOR gallery on Király Street.

Alexandra Kis-Baraksó, a designer of Manera Studio, founded the Szimbio Lab group in 2021 together with Dori Márföldi and Fanni Huszár. The members of the collective incorporate innovative contemporary design trends into their activities: they research organic, slow design methods, and regularly hold educational workshops on biodesign and sustainable thinking. Within this, special attention is given to growable raw materials, from which different material qualities are created through different experimental processes.

The exhibition will showcase the results of the group’s experimental processes so far, such as the thematic bio- and organic material palettes and the experimental objects and collections created from them. It will also feature the work of participants in the 2022 biodesign workshops. The exhibition will be accompanied by thematic guided tours and workshops on the creation of organic objects and bio-materials.

The program is an official event of Budapest Design Week.
