The Lithuanian capital doesn’t look its age: despite being 700 years old, it definitely rocked the mixed media electro party hosted by Neri J and the Antidote Community.
The coming months will see a succession of events in Vilnius to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the city’s founding. The celebrations focus on young people and youthfulness rather than dusty conferences, making this festive rave party no outlier. A local creative group, the Antidote Community, came up with the idea of celebrating the anniversary with a party that could be interpreted as a work of multidisciplinary art based around the number seven. The event, Genesis: 700 Minutes of Rave, was hosted by Neri J, and the visuals for the music were put together using artificial intelligence based on the ideas of 70 iconic local artists and influencers from Vilnius. For the 700-minute party, 70 different visuals were created, with 7 DJs in each room providing the music and 7 giant screens projecting archival footage of Vilnius in the Kablys Club.
