Apple to open its newest store in a 17th-century palazzo

The palazzo restored by the design studio Foster + Partners highlights the historic grandeur and rich cultural and artistic heritage of Rome’s architecture.

With this new addition, the largest of the 113 European Apple Stores will be located in the Palazzo Margnoli, on Rome’s Via del Corso. Originally constructed in 1873 by Salvatore Bianchi, then later renovated by Giulio Podesti, the building was home of the Marquis Filippo Margnoli’s family and housed the famous Caffè Aragno.
