A combination of classic aesthetics with luxury: meet Pantheone I, the wireless speaker designed by Red Dot award-winning Australian company Pantheone Audio. Pantheone I does not only fill the space with premium quality sound, but may serve as a dominant gem of our interiors, too.
The Pantheon, one of the most significant artworks of ancient architecture located in the center of Rome, may be familiar to many of our readers. One of the dominant solutions applied in the building is the design of the rotunda’s ceiling, with a circle-shaped opening of nine meter diameter in its center (also known as the oculus). Pantheon I ‘s sophisticated and special shape also recalls the form of the oculus. The open air design enhances acoustics, and gives a statuesque look to the object at the same time.
“Instead of looking like a traditional sound system or speaker that clashes with other home décor, Pantheone I combines art with music by boasting minimalist, sleek design that can fit into any space while still providing quality sound,” – said Oren Adani, the CEO of Pantheone Audio, who also knows his way around architecture, in an interview with Design Milk.
The luxurious and classicist design is not a coincidence, as the creative team of Pantheone Audio is led by Anne-Claire Bottos, who has already worked with high-end fashion houses including Cartier, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean-Paul Gautier or Givenchy.
The statuesque shape of Pantheone I required four years of research and development before it finally won a Red Dot design award in 2020.
