Between’s new collection inspired by the endless ocean and the spirit of summer

The summer capsule collection of the Hungarian brand Between is inspired by the boundless passion for travel and the ocean, reflected in both the colors and the motifs of the garments.

Brand designer Csilla Szabó has yet again paid special attention to environmentally conscious use of materials, with both the swimsuit and the streetwear outfit made from recycled polyester, and the kimono from insanely fine viscose poplin.

The collection reflects the brand’s key concept, wearability. And unlike with previous collections, the focus is no longer on custom production, but on making summer pieces suitable for as many smart and self-aware women as possible, regardless of their body type.

In addition to practicality, aesthetics have also played an important role, as the motto “be SEXY but in a SMART way” has essentially accompanied the brand from the very beginning. “My favorite feeling in life is when I can smell the scent of the sea, see its blueness and boundlessness. So it is no surprise that I turned to this memory to create a collection that captures the spirit of summer in clothing. The seahorse motif in the collection also originated here, and it has been present in the visual arts since ancient Greece, as a constant motif in the world of the sea and the parade of the sea gods. For me, they are a very special and strange creature of wonder, adorned thousandfold, which for some reason I can associate with the brand’s slightly eccentric sensibility,” Csilla told us about the new collection. “I’ve been missing more colorful elements in my creations for a long time, but since I’ve been making mostly custom lingerie and a bridal collection last year, I haven’t really had the opportunity to create such garments. Now is the time,” added the designer.
