“The value of each pair of shoes is in the responsibility,”—says the new tagline of the Ukrainian shoe brand IKOS. The brand’s classic footwear is now accompanied by a new image.
The IKOS shoe brand is a family business based in Lutsk. The founder is Ivan Ivanovich, who initially sewed the shoes with his wife Svetlana, and later developed their small workshop into a factory. The brand recently reached another milestone: a new identity and a rebranding under the creative direction of Marjan Ivaszik. Marjan decided to redesign not only the brand’s logo but also its entire visual language, complemented by a new slogan.
The shoe brand produces several types of footwear; therefore, they decided to visually differentiate each category with a graphic element as part of the brand identity. For the womens’ collection, Marjan created a floral motif to match the design of the shoes, followed by a symbol system to differentiate the other categories. Further innovations from IKOS include sneakers, whose world had to be designed not just graphically but from the ground up.
