Olympic torchbearers' uniforms made from recycled bottles

Coca-Cola collected the plastic bottles that were used to make the uniforms of the torchbearers.

The unisex outfits of the torchbearers accompanying the torch on its way to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics are inspired by the pursuit of sustainability and Japanese tradition. Besides the material technology, the special feature of the loose-fitting white top and bottom is the crossed red shoulder band pattern, recalling the clothing of Japanese relay runners.

The uniforms at the Tokyo Olympics are not the only ones made from recycled materials – the medals awarded to the winners contain parts of used electronic devices, for example.
