The Párisi Passage is worth a visit for the breathtaking scenery alone. As Food & Beverage Director Márk Váradi says, it’s as if they worked in a museum, while guests can feel like visitors when they sit down for lunch or dinner. Perhaps that would already be enough to make the experience unforgettable, but the real icing on the cake is the menu based on Hungarian dishes created by Lajos Lutz.
Lajos Lutz and his team have put a great deal of care into the new menu, and the theme for the coming season is based primarily on iconic Hungarian dishes, including crispy duck legs, Budapest-style steak, apple strudel, and authentic walnut pancakes.
“We pride ourselves on sourcing as many ingredients as possible from local producers: the cheese and cottage cheese from the Lake Balaton area, the mangalica and farmyard chicken, and all the vegetables available here come from the Hungarian countryside. It is important that the baked goods are also made in our kitchen, we bake homemade brioche with the same care as, for example, scones,” says Lajos Lutz.
If you are looking for a truly impressive and special setting to taste delicious dishes, then it is definitely worth a visit to the Párisi Passage, but even if you just want to admire the interior, as all visitors (and onlookers) are welcome. And if you’re already there, make sure not to miss the Rákóczi cottage cheesecake!
