Nowadays, capsule gardrobes are quite popular, the idea being to have basic pieces that can be easily varied with each other, and the aim being to strive for quality rather than quantity. The new collection from the Ukrainian brand selera fits perfectly into this approach, with a collection of essentially everyday pieces, but with unconventional design elements and a focus on materials.
The brand’s core value is the concept of slow fashion, and the products reflect this: their design transcends trends. The designer uses fabrics made from ramie and hemp yarns, long known in traditional Ukrainian weaving, which are extremely comfortable and natural to wear. The garments are also made using fabrics from textile waste: raw denim, viscose, silk, and wool. Even the paper used for labels is biodegradable and contains flower seeds.
